Cerebrospinal Fluid – ONLY

Physician Collect. Collect in sterile CSF tubes. The tubes are pre-labeled indicating the order of tube collection.

If outpatient collection, please arrange for a stat driver to deliver specimen to the laboratory as soon as possible.

1 hour from specimen receipt in the laboratory

Inpatients: 4 hours from specimen receipt in the laboratory

Outpatients: 24 hours from specimen receipt in the laboratory
