Do not prep venipuncture site with alcohol.  Use iodine prep.

Inpatient Collection:  Deliver to the Laboratory

Outpatient Collection:  Centrifuge specimen before transport to the Laboratory.  Once spun, transport specimen in original collection tube to ensure specimen integrity.
