Ordering Note: For use in the quantitative determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in females of child bearing age as an aid in the early detection of pregnancy.

Specimen Collection Instructions

Inpatient Collection:  Deliver to the Laboratory

Outpatient Collection:  Centrifuge specimen before transport to the Laboratory.  Once spun, it is advisable to transport specimen in original collection tube to ensure specimen integrity.
