Collect approximately 5 ml or 5 grams of solid or semi-solid stool in a sterile container. Watery and diarrheal stools are not acceptable.

Antimicrobials, proton pump inhibitors and bismuth
preparations are known to suppress H. pylori and
ingestion of these prior to H. pylori testing may give
a false negative result. It is recommended that these
be discontinued 2 weeks prior to testing.
