Sample Type: nasal or NP swab
Collection Tube: swab in approx 3ml of VTM/UTM.  Swab must have aluminum or plastic shafts and synthetic tips. (Do not use calcium alginate swabs) 
Transport Conditions: refrigerated  (2-8oC)
Storage conditions: refrigerated (2-8oC) frozen (≤15oC) if done within refrigerated stability time
Sample Stability: Refrigerated (2-8oC)                    VTM/UTM: 7 days
