Heparinized Syringe.

Specimen must be delivered to the Laboratory ASAP. Keep samples at room temperature.

Blood Gas results released greater than 30 minutes after collection time should be interpreted with caution.

Blood Gas specimens received greater than 1 hour will be rejected (canceled) by the laboratory due to deterioration of the sample.
